IPS e.max® CAD are lithium disilicate (LS2) ceramic blocks featuring a flexural strength of 360 MPa. The existing block concept has been expanded and now includes five Impulse shades. These five materials consist of three Value and two Opal shades.
Due to the different brightness values of the three Value blocks, restorations can be optimally integrated into the surrounding tooth structure in terms of their shade. The two Opal blocks allow users to ideally imitate the lifelike opalescent effect, which is desired in anterior restorations. These Opal blocks are suitable for the fabrication of veneers and thin veneers in particular.
