AEGIS Publications, LLC T/A AEGIS Communications and its affiliates consists of AEGIS Dental Network, Inside Dentistry, Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry, and Inside Dental Technology. Dental Learning Systems (DLS), LLC, consists of CDEWorld. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, both AEGIS Publications, LLC and Dental Learning Systems, LLC will be referred to as “AEGIS”, “us”, “our”, or “we”.

For information on contacting us, please see below under the heading “Contacting Us”. Your use of our websites indicate to us that you have read and accepted our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Services.

We value the privacy of individuals who use our websites, applications, products, and related services. We have developed this Privacy Policy to advise visitors, subscribers, those who register, and/or users of our website (“Users” or “you”) about our possible uses of information collected by us from the website. This Privacy Policy is subject to change. When we make any material change to this Privacy Policy, we will inform you by changing the date on this page noting when the Privacy Policy was last updated.

Information We Collect:

a. Information you provide
We do not use our services to collect any Personal Information about you other than what you provide voluntarily for various purposes, such as your name, postal and e-mail addresses, phone number, facts about your profession, graduation year and degree, company and responsibilities and information regarding your computer system. If you make a purchase on our site, we collect payment method information (credit or debit card number), purchase amount, and date of purchase to process your purchase(s).

If you choose not to provide the required information about yourself, we will not be able to verify your account or grant you full access to our products and services, or possibly deny access all together. If you provide Personal Information, you agree to provide true and accurate information, as this is required to verify your affiliation with the dental industry. b. Information from use of our services
From time to time we also track information, in aggregate, on pages and features that Users access or view. Our email alerts utilize tracking technology that allows us to see how many newsletter e-mails are opened and the e-mail address of Users who have clicked on a given story, feature, advertisement or other item. We use this information for internal purposes to measure the aggregate number of people who view a given newsletter or other item. We also collect Device or System Information such as hardware model, operating system, device identifiers, and browser type.

Use of Cookies:

For each User of this website, our web server may automatically attempt to identify such User through a cookie set within such User’s browser. This is done to provide access to the website. We may also set cookies to your computer to allow Users to store login information, set personalization and navigate easily through the website. Additionally, through the use of additional cookies or technology, we will have the ability to track Users based on their behavior profile and geographic location for the purpose of providing advertising that matches their interests and/or specific location. We may conduct online surveys, sweepstakes, and contests, or generate content that is presented by aggregating activity of Users on the website. User information that we collect and maintain may be stored on, and may be transferred among, servers and other facilities owned or operated by AEGIS, its affiliates, and their third-party subcontractors and service providers. In addition, User information may be handled and processed by staff of AEGIS, its affiliates and such subcontractors and service providers at their respective locations, and that are engaged in (a) fulfilling User’s requests (b) processing payment details and (c) other support services and activities, in connection with the operation and administration of the AEGIS websites. Subject to the Terms of Service, AEGIS will undertake commercially reasonable efforts consistent with industry practices to maintain the security of User information it maintains and stores against unauthorized access; provided, however, we shall not be responsible for the security measures and procedures of third parties.

Third Party Partners and Links to Third Party Websites:

AEGIS is not responsible for the content or the privacy policies and practices of websites to which it may link. This policy applies solely to information collected by AEGIS. While visiting the website, you may decide to purchase a product or service through one of our provider partners whose products or services are promoted or advertised on the website. If you do so, you will be acting under the guidelines of the third party provider's privacy policy, if it has one. AEGIS cannot make guarantees or warranties as to the nature of a third party's use of your personal information.

Access or Change to Personal Information:

Subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law, you have a right to access and request correction of, or deletion of, most Personal Information that we have about you. Where we cannot provide access to Personal Information held about you, we will tell you why.

If you think that any Personal Information we hold about you is inaccurate, you may contact us using the contact details below and we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the information is corrected. We may take steps to verify your identity before providing you access to your Personal Information.

During the registration process, a User can also indicate on the registration form that he or she does not wish to receive such marketing materials. A User may change, remove, or correct his/her preferences or personal information at any time online or by contacting us at the above e-mail address or phone number. You may not be able to fully access this website if you request removal of your personal information. We retain the right to contact Users regarding account status, orders for products or services, changes to the Terms of Service, registration agreement (if any), or subscription agreement, or to enforce same, and to provide other administrative messages and newsletters. You may not be able to opt out of any of these communications.

If you send any request for access to or correction of your Personal Information, we will do our best to respond within a reasonable period after your request.

Children Under the Age of 13:

The website is directed to adults and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We cannot prohibit minors from visiting the website, so we must rely on parents, guardians and those responsible for supervising children under 13 to decide which materials are appropriate for such children to view and/or purchase. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and do not permit registration by, and will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from, anyone under 13.

International Transfer:

This website is operated in the United States. If you are located in the European Union or elsewhere outside of the United States, please be aware that any information you have provided to us will be transferred to the United States.
