Amann Girrbach America’s Ceramill Motion 2 mill, developed exclusively for digital dentistry, is a compact, upgradeable, hybrid dental CNC machine that combines five-axis milling and grinding technology in both wet and dry modes. This enhanced flexibility now allows dental laboratories of all sizes to quickly and easily fabricate exceptionally precise aesthetic restorations in-house. The Motion 2 can be used for a broad range of indications including full-contour crowns and bridges, inlays, onlays, veneers, abutments, zirconia frameworks, as well as full-arch restorations. The Motion 2 can process today’s popular high-tech materials such as Ceramill Zolid or ZI zirconia, PMMA, Sintron® “wax-like’ CrCo and glass ceramics such as VITABLOCS® Mark II and TriLuxe forte and lithium disilicate.
The Ceramill Motion 2’s state-of-the-art 5-axis simultaneous milling and grinding technology provides the accuracy to capture precise aesthetic and functional detail from every possible angle while improving scope, speed and cost effectiveness. The Motion 2’s unique hybrid design gives technicians the choice of wet or dry material appropriate processing in a single machine. The lab technician can easily change between wet and dry modes by exchanging the blank holder for the specific materials used.
