The CEREC® 30th (C30) Anniversary celebration, Sirona Dental Inc.’s vanguard forum of digital dentistry, is in full swing and has met with a resounding reception.
The CAD/CAM extravaganza has exceeded expectations as more than 6,000 dental luminaries have packed The Venetian® and The Palazzo® in Las Vegas for a combination of hands-on seminars, keynote speeches, and live entertainment.
The event started Thursday, as CEREC friends and family gathered to network and enjoy the company of like-minded peers. Breakout session speakers included:
Dr. Frank Spear: A leading provider of dental continuing education and growth, Spear discussed optimal patient care in the digital world while instructing attendees on the difference between a radiographic diagnosis and a real diagnosis.
Dr. Rella Christensen: Team leader of the nonprofit Technologies in Restoratives and Caries (TRAC) Research, Christensen engaged onlookers with an informative speech on how to overcome practice challenges related to lithium disilicate.
Dr. Sameer Puri: A leading expert on CEREC technology, Puri gave an invigorating overview on utilizing the latest in digital software and how to make CEREC the center of a digital practice.
Sessions throughout C30 will continue to comprehensively cover a full curriculum of disciplines including digital radiography, orthodontics, and implantology. Additionally, C30’s tradeshow hall played host to exhibitors displaying the latest technological advancements in CAD/CAM dentistry, including Epson's new Moverio® BT-200 smart glasses (See video above).
Thursday’s lineup culminated with Emmitt Smith, former NFL great, now prominent business entrepreneur and philanthropist, delivering a rousing speech on how to overcome adversity. Smith, founder and CEO of Emmitt Smith Enterprises (ESE), rose to prominence as a star running back for the Dallas Cowboys and now dedicates his efforts toward the enrichment of underserved youth. His leadership and humanitarian qualities were inspirational, and provided an abundance of business- and life-enriching information.
The festivities have only just begun–Friday and Saturday promise more invigorating events as life-success coach Tony Robbins mentors on leadership technology, and Grammy Award-winning band Train rocks the crowd on Friday night with a live performance. “C30 has thus far exceeded expectations,” said Michael Augins, president of Sirona Dental Inc. “As the digital dental world’s finest representatives partake in this unprecedented gathering, Sirona extends its gratitude for their attendance of a celebration thirty years in the making.”
C30 provides participants up to 18 CE credits across a full spectrum of digital dentistry topics and tracks. The event will conclude Saturday night with a party hosted at TAO the Nightclub.
