ARVADA, COLO. – Custom Milling Center and BioHorizons, Inc. have announced that as of January, CMC has been recognized as a BioHorizons Authorized Milling Center, allowing CMC to expand its outsourcing options to its partner laboratories by offering genuine BioHorizons custom abutments.

Already leaders in digital integration, CMC’s workflow has been certified by BioHorizons to allow the outsourcing center to mill genuine patient-specific BioHorizons abutments without modifications to its workflow.

“We recognize that providing custom prosthetics to our customers continues to be a critical initiative as the dental implant industry progresses towards a completely digital workflow,” said Todd Strong, Executive VP & COO of BioHorizons. “The partnership with CMC represents a continued step toward our goal of providing high quality patient-specific prosthetics to all of our customers. We are pleased to add CMC to our group of certified milling partners.”

This capacity expands CMC’s capabilities as a world-class dental outsourcing partner. The capacity to mill BioHorizons abutments to the exacting specifications necessary to become an authorized milling center augments a robust set of services that offer a variety of other cutting-edge products, such as the Pearl® Screw Retained Hybrid Zirconia Bridge and gold-hue anodized overdenture bars.

Custom Milling Center was founded in 2005 by Robert Miller as an outsourcing partner to allow laboratory owners to offer the latest in materials and production techniques without committing to the capital expenditures necessary to keep their laboratories on the cutting edge.

“Partnering with a leading implant manufacturer such as BioHorizons allows CMC to further its commitment to streamlining our partner laboratories’ supply chain and optimizing efficiency,” said Ryan Faufau, Director, Production and Global Digital Production Technology, CMC. “As an authorized milling center, our ability to fabricate titanium and zirconia abutments utilizing Laser-Lok technology further expands our laboratory partners’ ability to provide enhanced treatment options to their doctors.”

As a BioHorizons Authorized Milling Center, CMC expands on its tradition of innovation and helping laboratories expand their capacity to offer the finest restorative technologies available.
