Posted on October 6, 2014

Andover, Massachusetts – Global dental implant company Straumann celebrates its 25-year anniversary in the United States this month, marking the occasion with weeklong festivities at the Straumann North American Headquarters in Andover, Massachusetts. Straumann will commemorate this special occasion on Friday, October 10, when the organization will honor some of the most tenured customers in the United States, who will join the celebration.

In 1989, Straumann opened a two-person US office based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, bringing Straumann dental implants to the US marketing. The operation later moved to Waltham, Massachusetts, with a training and education facility in Newport, California, before settling in the Andover headquarters.

Straumann’s North American Headquarters in Andover officially opened its doors in June 2005 – combining training, education, marketing, manufacturing, and customer service under one roof to offer the highest quality of products and services. In addition to its corporate office and a state-of-the-art training center, the Andover facility is the proud home to Straumann’s first and only manufacturing site outside of its landmark facility in Villeret, Switzerland. The 80,000 square-foot Andover manufacturing floor employs more than 100 machinists, technicians, and inspectors who manufacture implants and components for global distribution. The Straumann North American operation now consists of more than 300 employees with a field sales team of over 200 across the United States and Canada.

Today, Straumann is the No. 1 dental implant company worldwide. Over the past 25 years, Straumann North American has seen exponential growth in revenue, back office operations and sales. Beyond expanding its sales force and revenue, Straumann has continuously delivered some of the most advanced surgical, restorative, regenerative and digital dentistry technologies to the US market.
