School-Based Oral Health Program Receives 5,000 Toothbrushes

Posted on October 9, 2013

CHICAGO – Oral Health America (OHA) is pleased to announce Church & Dwight has donated nearly 5,000 Arm & Hammer™ Spinbrush™ toothbrushes valued at more than $21,000 to benefit the Smiles Across America® (SAA) program, which supports school-based and school-linked oral health programs across the country.

SAA distributes more than 500,000 units of donated dental product annually through the Product Donation Project, reaching over 900 treatment partners since 1998. Products  offered include sealants, toothbrushes, toothpaste, fluoride varnish, prophy paste, sugar free gum, dental flossers, and other supplies from leading corporate partners. To date SAA has helped its partners save over $1 million through donated oral disease prevention supplies.

"We are grateful to have the Arm & Hammer™ brand help us reach the most vulnerable communities in this country with resources to improve oral health,” said Beth Truett, President and CEO of Oral Health America. “Their generous donation makes brushing teeth fun and generates excitement around a daily routine with long-term benefits.”

Spinbrush™ is the #1 battery-powered toothbrush brand, offering a variety of power brushing options for Kids, Tweens, and Adults. Spinbrush™ Kids’ products are proven to help kids brush 38% longer vs. a manual toothbrush* with popular characters like Thomas & Friends™ and Avengers Assemble® that make brushing fun.

Thank you, Church & Dwight, for helping OHA and SAA bring healthy mouths to life.
