CE: Decision-Making for Full-Arch Rehabilitation

Posted on Wednesday, October 9, 2013

The patient facing complete loss of teeth in one or both of the dental arches requires coordination of surgical and prosthetic management with an experienced technical team from a qualified dental laboratory. A continuing education (CE) course presented by Tetra Dynamics, Inc. and Nobel Biocare will discuss various treatment options to help clinicians maximize case acceptance.

Course description:

• Brief overview of basic treatment modalities including immediate complete dentures as a final restoration or use of dental implants to assist in the retention of a prosthesis.

• Current trends for rehabilitation include immediate loaded implants utilizing fixed prostheses. The success of this modality has allowed patients to face edentulism without the stigma of wearing a denture, experience reduced treatment times and fees and, most importantly, benefit from a positive and life-changing experience.

• The utilization of non-grafting implant placement with immediate fixed provisional in one sitting. Methods to support the technique, diagnostic requirements, treatment costs, clinical procedures, and example cases will be presented.

The course instructor is Dr. Anthony Sallusito, who has been practicing prosthodontics and maxillofacial prosthetics in New Jersey since 1997.
