American College of Prosthodontics Announces Leadership Appointments

BALTIMORE, Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Lee M. Jameson, DDS, MS, FACP, was confirmed President of the American College of Prosthodontists on Friday, Nov. 2, at the ACP Annual Awards & President's Dinner during the College's 42nd Annual Session in Baltimore on Oct. 31 to Nov. 3. Additionally, Dr. Frank J. Tuminelli, DMD, FACP, was confirmed Vice President of the ACP, and Dr. John R. Agar, DDS, MA, FACP, was confirmed ACP’s President-Elect.

 

Dr. Jameson has been in private practice limited to prosthodontics for more than 36 years in Palos Heights, IL. He earned both his DDS and MS degrees in prosthodontics from Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago. Dr. Jameson is Dean Emeritus of Northwestern University Dental School. He presently is Clinical Professor of Restorative Dentistry at the University Of Illinois College Of Dentistry where he is an attending faculty in the Post Graduate Prosthodontic Program. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a member of several other dental organizations including the American Prosthodontic Society, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, and the American Dental Association.

 

A private practice prosthodontist in Great Neck, NY, whose clients include the New York Islanders National Hockey League team, Dr. Tuminelli dedicates time to mentor the next generation of prosthodontists in his role as Director of Graduate Prosthodontics at New York Hospital Queens. Highly respected, regarded, and well-loved by students, patients, and peers, Dr. Tuminelli is the Immediate Past President, Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics.

 

As a board certified prosthodontist, respected academic, and well-loved professor at the University of Connecticut Health Center School of Dentistry Department of Reconstructive Sciences in Farmington, CT, Dr. Agar begins his new role as ACP's President-Elect for a one-year term. Next year during the 43rd Annual Session, Dr. Agar will be inducted as the President of the American College of Prosthodontists. Dr. Agar recruits and mentors many dentists and prosthodontists in training as the next generation treat oral health issues.
