It is absorbable and eliminates second-stage surgery because it is designed to reduce wound trauma and surgical chair time. Its cell-occlusive properties allow it to serve as a barrier to prevent epithelial cell migration and allow passage of essential nutrients. The rigidness of BioMend Extend provides rigid scaffold for tissue regeneration.
BioMend Extend offers convenient handling because it is tear resistant, suturable and pliable. It is a versatile barrier that is indicated for use in guided bone and tissue regeneration procedures. It is designed to be absobed in approximately 18 weeks. It is available in 15 x 20mm, 20 x 30mm, and 30 x 40mm.
