Dental Assessment To prepare the patient for a SomnoMed MATRxTM study, the dentist takes three measurements to characterize the patient’s mandibular range of motion. In-Lab Titration The SomnoMed MATRxTM system enables the sleep laboratory to conduct a dental titration study, similar to CPAP titration study. The goal of the study is to predict the patient’s target protrusive position which is the mandibular position that results in effective treatment of the patient’s OSA. SomnoDent Rx Successful patients return to their sleep dentist with a prescription from the sleep physician for a SomnoDent appliance. The prescription includes the target protrusive position that will result in effective SomnoDent treatment.
