Bluecam Acquisition Camera

Sirona’s CEREC® AC powered by Bluecam marks a significant breakthrough in digital imaging thanks to its Blue LED technology. The higher precision, greater depth-of-field and shorter acquisition times made possible by the shorter wavelength of light used by Bluecam ultimately make quick and precise full-arch imaging a reality. Blue LED camera technology is superior in many ways. The primary reason blue light yields more precision than infrared or red laser is due to its much shorter wavelength. In the visible spectrum, blue light is at the shorter end compared to red light, and even shorter than that of infrared light. Simply put, when applied to CAD/CAM imaging technology, the shorter the wavelength of light used to capture the digital impression, the higher the precision.
