DMG America’s StatusBlue® is an alginate replacement material that has a firm consistency for slump-free tray dispensing, sets quickly for greater patient comfort and stays dimensionally stable. It is a faster and easier alternative to alginates for creating situation impressions for temporaries, model-cast dentures, orthodontic models and opposing jaw models. StatusBlue has an innovative A-silicone formula for a firm consistency and better patient acceptance than alginates. Fast, easy dispensing options include 50-ml cartridges for Automix guns and 380-ml cartridges for MixStar. The unique viscosity allows it to flow better under bite pressure, so it captures exceptional accuracy and detail. Impressions also stay dimensionally stable and do not have to be kept moist, so there’s no pressure to “pour it or lose it.” In addition, StatusBlue sets in the mouth in just 1 minute 45 seconds for better patient comfort, as well as time saved for the clinician. The total time to take an Alginate impression is 6 minutes 30 seconds. With StatusBlue, the total impression time is 2 minutes 30 seconds. The total time saved by using StatusBlue with each impression is 4 minutes. If an average of 4 impressions are done daily, that saves an additional 55 hours each year.
