YX

Aurident’s YX is a noble, fine-grain, type IV crown and bridge gold alloy containing 2% Gold, 40 % Palladium and 25.4 % silver. Although classified as a noble alloy, YX is very economical and copper free, making it an excellent alloy choice for patients with allergies. Its low specific gravity allows greater number of units per ounce than higher gold content alloys, and YX castings have an esthetically attractive soft yellow color. The high strength of YX makes it suitable for multi-unit bridges, and the material is extremely tarnish resistant, easy to work with and cast.
