High-Quality Impressions

Offering patients quality results without affecting your bottom line

Jerod Petry, DDS

Figure 1 | Capturing an accurate impression is one of the most important aspects for a successful, lucrative dental practice. Manufacturers have responded to market demand by producing materials to help remedy specific problems inherent in impression taking. These more sophisticated materials have helped to enhance the conventional impression process.

Most dental practices require a range of impression materials to accommodate a variety of procedures. When selecting impression materials for your practice, it is important to select products that have minimal shrinkage during polymerization, have excellent flow, and can produce accurate and predictable results. Darby Dental Supply’s Vinyl Polysiloxane Impression Material meets these criteria, enabling dentists to create detailed and accurate impressions on the first take.

In particular, this impression material flows easily and effortlessly into the sulcus of my preparations, offering optimal elastic recovery and tear strengths. Since integrating this product into my practice, the definition and sharpness of my margins have improved dramatically.

Darby Dental Supply’s Impression Material has an ultra hydrophilic nature, ensuring high-quality impressions with excellent dimensional stability. The durability of this product allows clinicians to create impressions that will preserve accurate details without distorting over time. The impression material has a durometer of 80 and is indicated for occlusal registration, copying transfers, and primary impressions with bite trays. It also features a distinctive blue dye so clinicians can clearly identify their working area.

Since I started using Darby Dental Supply’s Impression Material, I have not had a failed case, leading to less chairtime and greater patient acceptance. The adaptability and precision of this product has improved my communication with laboratories and reduced the likelihood of mistakes. As a result of the variety of flavors available and easy placement and removal of the material, my patients react more favorably to Darby Dental Supply’s Impression Material than other leading brands.

Through the years, numerous techniques and impression materials have been developed and promoted by the profession. Armed with Darby Dental Supply’s impression products, I feel confident in my ability to suit my patients’ needs and offer high-quality results at a substantially lower cost to my practice.
