Su-Gwan Kim; Min-Suk Oh; Young-Kyun Kim; et al

Implantology. The Korean Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Implantology. 2007;11(3):12-21.

Completely edentulous patients who received implants through the OSSTEM US II system procedure during an 8-year period at different dental clinics throughout South Korea were examined. Data for 44 patients (mean age 63.3 years) and 276 implants were analyzed. In 181 cases, no bone resorption occurred. Only 2 implants failed: 2 of the 45 implants that were installed with a maxillary sinus elevation via a lateral window. Other complications were short-term and satisfactorily resolved, resulting in a final survival rate of 99.27%.
