Seneca Falls, NY – Over 200 Employees from BonaDent Dental Laboratories, including employees from their Florida Lab in Melbourne and their sister lab, Danaren, participated in a weekend-long continuing education event hosted at BonaDent’s new state of the art facility on April 27th & 28th. Course topics ranged from technical to administrative and were sponsored by BonaDent’s manufacturing partners Jensen Industries, Ivoclar Vivadent, Henry Schien, Whip Mix, and CMP Industries.
The weekend was kicked off with a presentation and opening remarks by President Bruce H. Bonafiglia, who outlined exciting opportunities for his employees. His presentation encouraged employees to take full advantage of the courses being presented and the team building experience that the weekend offered. Bonafiglia’s main message, which radiated throughout the weekend, was: Make it Count. Following Bonafiglia’s address, employees enjoyed an Italian Festival on the company campus complete with fried dough, gelato, caricature artists and a 20-team bocce tournament.
On Saturday, employees entered the lab eager and ready to get down to business with a full day of continuing education courses on topics like “The Ins and Outs of Creation Porcelain,” “Occlusion for CAD/CAM,” “Productive Approach to Emax,” and “Professional Communication.” In addition to guest speakers such as Peter Pizzi, Keyon Jack, and Craig Picket, BonaDent’s own technical experts taught several courses as well. T.G. Hornischer, CDT lectured to technicians about Removable Smile Design, Implant Specialist John Ackley educated team members on the many nuances of implant cases, and BonaDent’s latest expert addition Joseph Weisz, CDT taught a course on Anterior Contouring.
Now in its third year, BonaDent’s “Building the Best” weekend was created to give each of BonaDent’s employees an opportunity to grow on a professional and personal level. Employees are able to choose the courses that they feel will be most helpful in broadening their individual skill set while giving them the chance for advancement. BonaDent hosts its own lab day to allow more employees the opportunity to participate in continued learning and skill development, all while working side-by-side with their teammates.
“This year’s event was a huge success,” says President Bruce H. Bonafiglia. “I think every employee benefitted from the occasion, and was truly committed to the betterment of themselves and their company. I’m so proud that everyone took advantage of this opportunity and “Made it Count!”
