Colorado Spring Meeting a Regional Success
Posted on May 21, 2012
The Colorado Dental Laboratory Association (CDLA) Spring Technical Meeting and Expo, held last March at the Sheraton West Hotel in Denver, Colorado, drew in more than 200 laboratory owners, managers, and technicians from the surrounding Rocky Mountain region for a robust educational schedule of lectures and hands-on demonstrations. Headlining this year’s roster of presenters were Matt Roberts, AAACD, and Alice Sager, CDT, with full-day courses entitled Dental Ceramics for 2012 and Let’s Talk Occlusion, respectively. Other high-quality educational programs included the following lectures: “The Rising Momentum of Removable Prosthetics” by Tom Zaleske, AS; “Digital Laboratory Trends” by Tim Torbenson, speaking on behalf of Glidewell Laboratories; and “21st Century Marketing Trends” in which Terry Fine, the newly appointed president of AMG Creative, offered attendees tips. In addition, Jeffery Anderson, CDT, provided a demonstration of a successful approach to fabricating porcelain-fused-to-titanium restorations.
Between educational sessions, attendees found plenty of opportunity to network with their peers and view the newest product innovations on display in the exhibit hall. More than 22 companies were on hand, many engaging attendees with hands-on demonstrations at their booths.
