Tallahassee, FL—The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that it recently awarded over $25,000.00 in grants to several dental laboratory schools around the country. The Keystone Grant program provides funds for schools that are seeking to improve their programs through technology innovation, seek accreditation, enhance continuing education and training of faculty and develop programs that develop stronger applied skills for graduating students.
The schools that received awards thus far in 2012 are:
Pasadena City College, CA
Durham Technical Community College, NC
Kirkwood Community College, IA
Tennessee Technology Center at Memphis, TN
Bates Technical College, WA
New York City College of Technology, NY
Another series of grants are to be awarded in the fall of 2012. The grants have been made possible through the generosity of many dental laboratory manufacturers/suppliers, dental laboratory owners and individual technicians.
The Keystone Grant program is just one service provided by the Foundation. Other scholarship funds are available to technicians who wish to become certified. These scholarships cover examination costs and study material costs.
