NY Times Blog: Brushing Too Soon After Meals Could be Harmful

A recent posting on the New York Times Health/Science blog cites research showing that brushing too soon after meals and drinks – particularly those that are acidic – can do more harm than good. As noted by Dr. Howard R. Gamble, president of the Academy of General Dentistry, brushing could “push the acid deeper” into enamel and dentin.
