The American Prosthodontic Society to Host its 86th Annual Meeting
Posted on January 15, 2014
The American Prosthodontic Society (APS) has always sought to promote the advancement of prosthodontics by uniting the generalist, specialist, and dental laboratory technologist to improve patient treatment through education and research. From February 20-21, the APS will highlight these goals in hosting its 86th annual meeting, “Guiding Principles, Changing Practices,” at the Swissôtel in Chicago, IL.
The meeting will offer attendees two days of exhibits, lectures, table clinics, and workshops, and will feature an ongoing theme of embracing changing practices in the dental industry. Attendees may earn continuing education credits by attending presentations by Dr. Rella Christensen, Dr. Paul Child, Dr. Gary Goldstein, and Dr. Jamison Spencer, among many other prestigious speakers.
Guiding Principles, Changing Practices will also see the launch of a new, limited attendance Digital Impressions Workshop. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend three separate sessions, all of which will allow them to learn about and personally experience three different digital impression products in a very personal small group setting.
The table clinics, which have always been an integral part of the APS annual meeting, have been overhauled for 2014. Participants may now submit their presentations digitally, creating a library of searchable table clinic presentations on the APS website (www.prostho.org). Meeting attendees can now easily search for table clinics that meet their educational needs.
The 86th Annual Meeting of the APS promises to provide all members of the dental team with an environment for networking, professional interaction, and knowledge sharing with superior interdisciplinary instruction and advanced knowledge in prosthodontics education.
