High-Quality Abutments in Just 48 Hours

ArgenIS custom abutments help make dentists happy

By Brent West

Our laboratory takes pride in working with dentists to ensure they provide patients with the best work, so we need to use the best custom abutments on our implant cases. We began using Argen Digital’s ArgenIS abutments a few years ago, and we have been thrilled with the results.

Argen’s abutments fit extremely well, and they have a nice shape and color. I predominantly use the gold-hue abutments, and the color is fantastic. Regarding the castable abutments we used in the past and even custom abutments from other companies, there is just no comparison. The prices are extremely competitive also, especially considering the high quality of the abutments.

Our laboratory’s workflow for implant cases includes scanning models and designing the cases digitally, and then sending them to be milled by Argen. The cases are returned to us in 48 hours, which is less than half the time it previously took before we used Argen. Receiving the milled abutments in a timely manner helps significantly as we work on completing the case.

Additionally, Argen’s split-file technology allows us to design the crown and the abutment at the same time, which helps us work even more efficiently.

Argen also supplies an extra screw for the dentist, which is a nice value-added element. The dentist can feel comfortable having a fresh screw that was never used in the laboratory. It is a nice touch that our dentists appreciate.

The overall feedback from dentists has been fantastic. They really appreciate the gold-hue color of the ArgenIS abutments we provide. They like the fit and the general esthetics. And they really like the competitive prices for a product that is just as good as the more expensive options.

One thing dentists worry about is whether the implant company will stand behind them if they go out of network for alternative abutments and there is a failure. However, Argen’s warranty system covers failure of the implant, the abutment, and the restoration. That puts the clinician’s mind at ease. In doing so, Argen helps all parties maintain a strong and productive partnership.

Our laboratory, with approximately 50 employees, works with dentists across all of North America as well as some in Europe. Being able to provide high-quality restorations in a timely and cost-efficient manner is invaluable in our quest to provide all of our dentists and patients with the best service possible.
