Instrumentarium Dental

Figure 1 | ORTHOPANTOMOGRAPH™ OP300 Maxio, from INSTRUMENTARIUM DENTAL™, is an advanced panoramic, cephalometric, and 3D extraoral imaging system. The images it produces will help clinicians diagnose, plan, and treat with confidence. Scans taken with automatic dose control (ADC) (Figure 2) ensure patients are exposed to the least possible amount of radiation necessary. A CBCT option designed with both the clinician and the patient in mind, the OP300 Maxio is a truly adaptable platform that can make a difference in any practice.

Highlights

  • 3-in-1 unit capable of upgrading
  • Crystal clear CBCT images
  • Automatically set, patient-specific exposure values
  • User-friendly workflow

OP300 Maxio

Figure 3 | The OP300 Maxio offers five fields of view (FOV)—from as low as 5x5 cm, optimal for single-site implants or localized diagnostics—to the new maximum size of 13x15 cm, capable of imaging the entire maxillofacial region. More than just options for the sake of variety, these settings allow clinicians to optimize radiation exposure by capturing only the anatomy needed for the case. Similarly, the multilayer panoramic option provides five panoramic images with only one scan, enabling more forgiving patient positioning and reducing the need for retake exposures. Multilayer images are achieved in the same scanning time and dose as the traditional panoramic scan.

Low Dose Technology

Low Dose Technology™ (LDT) allows the system to capture optimized images across all fields of view with radiation up to five times lower than that used to capture a traditional 2D panoramic image. This setting is well suited for use with pediatric patients, follow-up imaging, and even implant planning or other cases where lower resolution is acceptable.

Automatic Dose Control

Available for panoramic modality and all 3D fields of view, ADC offers patient-specific exposure settings, providing clinicians with the best images available at the lowest needed dose to the patient—simply by pressing a button. True penetration is measured for each patient and exposure values are adjusted automatically based on these individual measurements, offering personalized care and mindful dosing.

The powerful 3D software is capable of using the ORTHOPANTOMOGRAPH OP300 images for enhanced treatment planning capabilities. The software can incorporate digital impressions with 3D cone-beam scans for detailed implant planning and better communication with dental labs.
