KEY TAKEAWAYS:

  • Pure bioceramic sealers are highly biologic, nanoparticle cements that are easy to use
  • Bioceramic technology simplifies obturation through hydraulic condensation, making the process significantly more efficient
  • More than 50 published and independent studies have confirmed the properties of bioceramic materials

The last two decades have seen acceleration in technology especially applicable to endodontics. One crucial segment is bioceramic materials, which are having a profound impact on the way we treatment plan our patients. Bioceramics are ideal in that they exhibit advanced physical and chemical properties essential to endodontic success. The properties of bioceramic sealers allow a more conservative approach to endodontic shaping, preserving more natural tooth structure. As a result, restorative endodontics is setting a new standard of care, as we can achieve clinical results we only dreamed about a few years ago.
