Visalys® Temp

Temporary crown and bridge material that is durable, esthetic, and affordable

Visalys® Temp temporary crown and bridge material from Kettenbach is a two-component 5:1 self-cure resin based on a multifunctional acrylic composite. Manufactured without bisphenol A (BPA), it can be used to make highly esthetic temporary crowns, partial crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, long span restoratives, and veneers, including long-term provisionals.

Convenience Meets Esthetics

Visalys Temp is remarkably stable and fracture resistant due to its unique new monomer structure. Temporary restorations fabricated using Visalys Temp are exceptionally stable and fracture-resistant due to its outstanding mechanical properties, which make it suitable for use in cases requiring long-term temporary restorations.

Visalys Temp is also impressive because it is so easy to use. It dispenses easily, and flows ideally into the impression while remaining firm enough to allow precise control. A minimal smear layer means it is pleasant to handle when removing it from the tray. In addition, Visalys Temp can be precisely trimmed and generates only minimal dust. The unique formulation is also easy to finish with a very modest air-inhibited layer post-cure that is easily cleaned, polished, and finished. The high luster means that polishing time can be greatly reduced and even omitted in some cases.

The product is available in 50-mL cartridges, in six popular shades: A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1, and BL (bleach). Kettenbach products are available on a direct-to-dentist basis.

Demonstrated High Performance

Since the its introduction in the United States in February 2013, Visalys Temp has grown dramatically in adoption by practices across the country, supported by significant feedback from leading evaluators. It was named a Preferred Product and given a 5+ rating from The Dental Advisor, and also received a very high rating from the clinicians who comprise the Catapult Group. The Catapult reviewers evaluated Visalys Temp by using it to place more than 250 provisional restorations. After testing, almost half of the evaluators rated the material as better than the provisional material they were currently using, and 78% said they would switch from their current product to Visalys Temp if the price were comparable. In addition, 90% of the Catapult said they would recommend the product to their peers.
