As an educator, I am frequently approached by dentists asking my opinion on a particular technique or new material. The conversation usually involves a point of confusion about whether the technique or material is appropriate to use or should replace some approach the practitioner is using currently.

This article will describe and discuss the steps involved in the orthodontic-restorative management of patients with significant wear and overeruption of their anterior teeth.

Do I do everything with the microscope? No. I still do the majority of gross reduction or less detailed procedures with my loupes, but when I need to refine margins, pack cord, clean up resin cement, there is simply no comparison to using the microscope.
